The proposed changes are vague, will lead to financial abuse of pet owners, and a dangerous precedent affecting the health of pets, and I am totally against the forceful manner in which veterinarians have lobbied to milk me like a cash cow through my public housing.
I experienced 1st hand by my visit to a new vet this month on Maui, with my less then 20lb terrier dog, Teriann, and saw how this works. Teriann is going to be 14 years old in a few months. By my taking good care her health she will be around for a few more years.
The vet said he would “tell” the housing I refused to vaccinate/booster my pet, and I was was attacked by 2 vets at once doing this to me too. I was even told my dog was going to die! From what? We have no Rabies in Hawai'i, Parvo is for puppies, and Heart Worm is by mouth. There is nothing a "booster" can do for an adult dog!
The State of Hawaii has no state or county laws requiring pet vaccination; except in the case of animals entering Hawaii. Following state and county law my old dog might have a chance. Because there is absolutely no reason she needs to be vaccinated, and the vet to make $130 from the 90 cent wholesale cost of his product.
This is a scam! Google it! Those veterinarians do not care about my pet's health. They are fired! And I expect because my last vet who has just retired, also did not want to vaccinate her either; I will find a new vet who cares about the health of my pet, and not their pocket book.
The wording must be left alone, and read as it was before. What is proposed is vague, and inconsiderate to the owners of pets, and the health of pets...not the whims of whoever thinks what, especially when we can be taken advantage of. Seriously consider what I've said here. The matter is life, or death to our pets.

So after my big fiasco at the vet...I thought need not worry...
Then I'm shown a new Pet Policy, and a day to submit comments to the main office. Forced vaccinations...I learned a lot studying this info...Should be applied to our kids too.Crazy for money! And my 1st thought was I'd like to see the emails at HUD with the vet, or veterinary group who set this scam up.
Making $130 off something that costs them 95 cents...!
Where I live in Hawaii we have no rabies, and dogs and cats are not required to get these shots by state law...but, that does not stop these vets...
This morning I'm writing a letter to the main office of the HUD housing where I live to complain about the apts I live at for calling the vet I took my 14 year old 18lb dog to for a healthy check I'm required to do yearly...to confirm I was not following the "housings" rules which follow state and county rules...for my pets vaccinations...
The vet said I refused to give my dog her vaccinations, and my excuse of her being too old was not true!
The 2 vets there ganged up on me...said they would tell the "housing" on me, and that my dog would DIE if she was not given her "BOOSTER".......
I'm not getting my dog a vaccination, and am going to write 3 letters...
1- to the housing main office...and 2- to the veterinarian board...and 3 to the editor of the local paper too!
I am putting my home in jeopardy...and might become homeless...BUT not without a fight...Tooth and nail to the end...

Vaccines are a money making bonanza for veterinarians...
Domestic dogs and cats today are suffering from an unprecedented and very disturbing epidemic of chronic degenerative disease much of it caused by the very pet vaccines that are supposed to preserve their health.
These animals are routinely presenting with a variety of symptoms and diagnoses that are eerily similar to those being experienced by their owners.
One of the major factors adversely affecting the health of our pets has to do with the quality (or rather lack thereof) of the pet food we feed them.
Besides poor quality food that is not in keeping with the natural diet our furry friends require, chronic and very serious health issues are also emerging due to the shocking overuse of pet vaccines.
Vaccinosis
The umbrella term for health damage caused by vaccines is vaccinosis.
Many people today, along with a precious few forward thinking veterinarians, are realizing that the excessive numbers of vaccines routinely given to domestic pets are wreaking havoc on these animals’ health. This is because vaccines have the ability to disrupt, dis-regulate, and in some cases even virtually destroy an animal’s natural, innate immune function.
Without a properly functioning immune system, an animal is much more vulnerable than it would be otherwise to a wide variety of health problems.
Adverse Reactions to Pet Vaccines
From rashes and behavioral issues, to seizures and even vaccine injection site tumors, the list of adverse vaccine related health complications is long and varied. However, because many people don’t make the connection between the administration of a shot and subsequent symptoms, and because the veterinary industry at large often does not acknowledge such a connection, adverse vaccine reactions often go unreported.
For these reasons and because many people have been erroneously conditioned to believe that vaccines are completely safe and effective, there’s a serious lack of understanding about the issue of vaccine damage among the general population.
There needs to be more awareness about this problem and people need to know that besides acute conditions, the damage caused by vaccines can also be implicated in longer term, chronic ailments.
Some of the more progressive vets who are at the forefront of researching vaccine damage, including Dr. Patricia Jordan, author of the book Vaccinosis: Hidden in Plain Sight, are discovering evidence that vaccines actually cause damage at a genetic level.
If true, this means that vaccine damage not only occurs to those pets that are vaccinated, but that such damage occurs to their DNA, which is then passed onto their offspring and so on down the line, potentially conveying inherited vaccinosis to many more individuals in future generations.
Pet Vaccines a Toxic Chemical Cocktail
One of the reasons why vaccines can cause damage to our pets is because of the toxic ingredients they often contain. Among these are:
Thimerosal — Thimerisol is an organic compound often found in pet vaccines and used as a preservative that contains mercury, which is an extremely toxic heavy metal.Mercury is a powerful neurotoxin and is one of the most potent poisons known to man. Mercury has been shown to impair the function of many internal systems including the brain, central nervous system, endocrine system, kidneys, and other organs.
Aluminum — Aluminum is another metal used in vaccines that has been implicated in neurological ailments in humans. Aluminum is added to vaccines as an adjuvant, which means its purpose is to enhance or boost the effectiveness of those shots containing killed viruses.
Formaldehyde — Formaldehyde is classified by the EPA as a probable carcinogen, and is used as a tissue fixative in some vaccines.
Phenol — Phenols are highly poisonous, caustic substances derived from coal tar which are used as preservatives in vaccines.
Viruses — Viruses are microscopic infectious agents containing genetic material which can only replicate within the tissues of living organisms.
Animal organ tissue — Cell tissue derived from all manner of animals, including monkeys, rabbits, cows, sheep and pigs, are used to culture viruses contained in vaccines.
Huge or Tiny Pet — Same Dosage
Many pet owners would be surprised to learn that the dosage contained in one vaccine is the same regardless of the size or weight of the pet. This means that a 5 lb Chihuahua is given the exact same dosage as a 100 lb German Shepherd.
Insanity of Yearly “Boosters” for Pet Vaccines
Despite the fact that most all specific vaccines designed for people are generally only administered
once rather than repeatedly year after year, it has become common practice in the veterinary industry to vaccinate pets with the same vaccine over and over again – often on a yearly basis – in the form of what are called booster shots.
Because each individual vaccine triggers a firestorm of activity within the immune system, vaccinating pets repeatedly like this over time can end up eroding the animal’s immune function.
It’s important to understand that routine vaccinations are a source of considerable financial revenue for both veterinarians and pharmaceutical companies. However vaccinating our pets repeatedly year after year is, in my opinion, most definitely not in the best interest of the animals.
Bypassing the Body’s Natural Immunity
Our pets’ bodies are equipped with a very sophisticated array of innate immunological mechanisms that are specifically designed to defend against pathogenic exposure.rgans such as the skin, nose, respiratory system, mouth, and digestive tract are all common pathways through which potentially harmful microbes must pass before they have the opportunity to become infectious. These organ systems work in concert to identify incoming pathogenic threats and either neutralize and/or create effective defenses against them.
However, most all pet vaccines administered by vets are done so via subcutaneous injection. This means that such shots deliver viruses, which are pathogenic materials, along with other toxins directly through the skin into the body’s underlying tissues, unnaturally forcing these substances to bypass some of the body’s most important and effective natural defense systems.
This circumvention and short circuiting of the immune system can trigger chronic autoimmune disorders, including the kind of ongoing inflammatory response present in conditions such as IBD (inflammatory bowel disease), arthritis, skin rashes and others.
Make an Informed Decision on Your Pet’s Behalf
More and more evidence is coming to light these days showing that pet vaccines are a scientific fraud and that they’re little more than a huge money making scam because they are neither safe nor effective.
Due to such evidence, I can’t urge people strongly enough to do their own research in order make an educated decision before choosing to have their pets automatically jabbed simply as a matter of course.

Do the citizens of Maui think it is OK for our Mayor to send a petition via social network on internet asking people to sign for a corporation to be made of our Hospital system?
What does this mean?
To me it means... not only the mayor for supporting the bad guys, but the board of the hospital needs to be replaced by people who do not fix the books to suddenly show a 28 million dollar deficit...And then say, "We need to fire lots of staff to fix this problem...That has suddenly materialized...Out of thin air...We can be saved by corporations...That is our only hope..."
Giving the cream away will not make our milking any more healthy for us cash cows!
Who are really the people behind this move...? Monsanto etal ...To cover up illnesses caused by their actions... And take away access to the truth...about how we are being constantly poisoned and it is unreported!

Hawaii Biotech Corp. is the name, and is owned by individuals who work for the University, and many others I am assuming...But started by the people put in charge at the U of H...Check it out...

Dear Sirs,
I hereby file a complaint against all licensed Veterinarians engaged
in companion animal practice in the State of Texas for violation of
the Rules of Professional Conduct, rule 573.26 which states: Licensed
veterinarians shall conduct their practice with honesty, integrity,
and fair dealing to clients in time and services rendered, and in the
amount charged for services, facilities, appliances and drugs.
I assert that the present practice of marketing of vaccinations for
companion animals constitutes fraud by misrepresentation, fraud by
silence, theft by deception, and undue influence by all Veterinarians
engaged in companion animal practice in this state.
Recommending, administering, and charging for Canine Corona
vaccinations for adult dogs is fraud by misrepresentation, fraud by
silence, theft by deception, and undue influence given the literature
that states:
1. Dogs over eight weeks of age are not susceptible to canine corona
virus disease. Disease produced by canine corona virus has never been
demonstrated in adult dogs. Dogs over eight weeks of age that are
immunized against canine parvovirus will not develop symptoms of
canine corona virus disease. Addition of an unnecessary antigen to
the vaccination protocol will result in a lesser immunity to the important
diseases like parvovirus and distemper, and increase the risk of adverse reactions.
2. Immunologists doubt that Canine corona virus vaccine works, as it
would require secretory mucosal IgA antibodies to protect against
corona virus and a parenteral vaccine does not accomplish this very
well. Twenty-two Schools of Veterinary Medicine including Texas A&M
University do not recommend canine corona virus vaccine.
3. Gastroenterologists at Schools of Veterinary Medicine including Dr
Michael Willard at Texas A&M University have stated that they have
only seen one case of corona virus disease in a dog in ten years.
On several occasions large numbers of dogs have died from adverse
reactions to corona virus vaccine.
A reasonable client would not elect corona virus vaccination for an
adult dog if presented this information.
Recommending, administering, and charging for re-administration of
modified live vaccines like Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus,
Feline Panleukopenia, injectable Feline Rhinotracheitis, and
injectable Feline Calicivirus on an semi-annual, annual, bi-annual or
tri-annual basis is theft by deception, fraud by misrepresentation,
misrepresentation by silence, and undue influence given the
literature that states:
1. The USDA Center for Biologic and Therapeutic Agents asserts
that there is no scientific data to support label claims for annual
re-administration of modified live vaccines, and label claims must be
backed by scientific data.
2. It is the consensus of immunologist that a modified live
virus vaccine must replicate in order to stimulate the immune system,
and antibodies from a previous vaccination will block the replication
of the new vaccinate virus. The immune status of the patient is not
enhanced in any way. There is no benefit to the patient. The client
is paying for something with insignificant or no effect, except that
the patient is being exposed to unnecessary risk of an adverse
reaction.
3. A temporal association has been demonstrated between
vaccinations and the development of Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia.
4. It has been demonstrated that the duration of immunity for
Canine Distemper virus is 7 years by challenge, and 15 years by
serology; for Canine Parvovirus is 7 years by challenge, for Feline
Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, and Feline Calicivirus is 7.5 years
by challenge.
A reasonable client would not elect re-administration of any
of the above stated vaccinations for a previously immunized pet if
provided with the above information.
The recommendation for administration of Leptospirosis vaccination in
Texas is theft by deception, fraud by misrepresentation,
misrepresentation by silence and undue influence given the fact that:
1. Although Leptospirosis is re-emerging as an endemic disease
for dogs in some areas of the country, Leptospirosis in dogs in Texas
is a very rare disease. According to the Texas Veterinary Medical
Diagnostic Lab there are only an average of twelve cases of
Leptospirosis documented in dogs in Texas per year. Factors to
identify those dogs that are at risk have not been identified. Given
that there are over 6 million dogs in Texas, the risk of
leptospirosis disease to a dog is less than 2 in a million.
2. The commonly used vaccine only contains serovars Lepto.
canicola, and Lepto icterohaemorrhagiae, and no cross protection is
provided against the other three serovars diagnosed in Texas . Newer
vaccines containing Lepto pomona , and Lepto grippotyphosa are
available but the duration of immunity is less than one year. To
provide protection for a dog against Leptospirosis would require two
vaccines with four serovars twice per year.
3. Although humans can develop Leptospirosis, the spread of
Lepto. from a dog to a human has never been documented and is thought
to be a very low risk.
Given that the risk of an adverse reaction, a reasonable client would
not elect Vaccination of their pet if provided with the above
information.
